Army Helmets
The topic in class 2 is 'Fight, Fight, Fight' which is looking at the different wars throughout time. To get the children in the 'right place' they have made 'Time Travelling Helmets'. These have been made by covering a balloon in paper mache, waiting for it to dry and then painting it in their own design. Once the paint was dry the bottom part of the balloon was cut off leaving a fabulous bowl shape. Now everytime the children need to go' back in time' they place their helmets on. All the children love this way of travelling in time.
Snow days
Thanks to the winter weather the cheldren at school have had great fun out in the snow. They have managed to build snowmen, a snow fort and have snowball fights. A great time has been had by all, especially when the children had a snowman building competition followed by a cup of hot chocolate.
Christmas Performance
'Humbug sees the light' was the latest performance by the children at the school. Thanks to Wickham Market School we had a fabulous location for all the parents, Grandparents and friends to come and watch all the budding actors.
All the children participated and they all said what fun they had had rehearsing and then performing for thier family.

Indian Dance and Mosiac day

The whole of Easton School took part and participated in a fun packed day of Indian dancing and Mosiac making with the help from Peter and Suzanna who kindly spent the day with us.
The children learnt about the Indian culture and dancing, all the children really enjoyed the dancing and fully participated in it as you can see from the Photographs above.
In the picture on the left the children are learning an Indian Prayer and in the picture on the right girls are putting the finishing touches to their mosiacs.

School Garden
On Friday afternoons groups of children have been weeding, watering, sowing seeds, and finding lots of exciting bugs! They have harvested tomatoes, beans, carrots, potatoes, and other vegetables, and tidying up for the winter. The soil is very sandy and needs lots of muck and compost to help grow better vegetables next year.
Art Club
Children from years 1 to 4 produced an aquarium each and a Hallowe'en picture over 6 weeks of Art Club in the first half of term. They enjoyed painting the inside and outside of the aquaria and making fish, mermaids, seaweed, waves and other objects to populate them.
