Victorian Museum visit

Class 3 went to Stowmarket Museum of life to learn more about the Victorians. As part of the day we all dressed up as Victorian children, took Victorian names and then spent an hour in aVictorian classroom. The children loved it and even wanted to change their classroom and lessons into Victorian style ones!

Some people tried on the 'Dunce hat' and some people were told off for scruffy hair or wiping their nose on their sleeve!
It was a great day

Road safety

Easton road safety officers are: Jordan and Libertie.

A couple of weeks ago there were some road safety officers who came to our school for an assembly. They asked some questions about road safety and if we got an answer right we got a prize. The man then told us that there was going to be a competition and that it was to either to do a poem, story or poster about being on the road. After assembly we both went outside to have a go with a speed camera. It was very fun and we enjoyed it. What you had to do is to find a car going by then you point the camera at the car, find the red dot and press the red button until it bleeps. Then it will show you how fast they are going. We got the speed of a pigeon that was at 19mph!!!!!!!!!!

We also made are own competition were we made a catchy phrase these are our first, second and third. Written by Libertie and Jordan.

Our fun Library

We love going into the library because we like to read. We’re very lucky as we can always find books that we enjoy. Our favourite books are, The Famous Five and The Secret 7, we have so many books to choose from. Our library is very colourful, we’ve got lovely soft carpet and very soft comfy cushions to sit on.

We did lots of different themes. We did animals and numbers etc.

Topic work

Puppets

In class 3 our topic is Puppets. We have been designing puppets, writing story endings and making our puppets. We watched Pinocchio to get an idea of the scenes and then we rewrote the story.
To make our puppets we had to plan out what kind of puppet it was going to be, what it was going to look like and what things we would need part of that was what colour it would be.
Our topic is sadly nearly over. We are very glad to do it and we thank Poppy for coming up with the idea.

The Royal Visit

The Royal visit
On the 9th of February 2010 Class1 were invited to meet the queen’s daughter- in- law, Sophie. They were there to see the play barn be opened by the countess of Wessex, Sophie. The countess of Wessex officially opened the ‘Go Barmy play barn’ at Easton Farm Park with the help of our Easton school pupils. Some of the children were lucky enough to get to talk to her; also Charlotte Gibbon gave Sophie a bunch of flowers, such an honour.
